I guess it means she really isn't ready for 1 nap then, at least a long A to BT.

Guess so, though I wonder if it was "just" the 4hr35A to bed that got us. I mean she got more sleep in that one nap than she usually got in 2! And it was good solid sleep too, just a 1hr10 burble and then back out!

How did the rest of the night go?

Not fun. Finally out around 11, after HOURS of me lying on the twin bed in her room talking to her and every now and then picking her up for a hug and then laying her down again. Then around 11:30 she just started talking to herself! WTF! Then she got mad and I just fed her hoping it would "knock her out" for the rest of the night. I remember resettling at 2:30, 3:45, fed ( weak I know, but really Ivy!)at 4:45, then up at 7. SO not so much sleep.

Did 4.5hr A this morning and got a 1hr43 SOLID nap. It ended at 1:15 but I just don't know about even a 5:30 BT as DH and I are going out for a bit (anniversary!) after she is in bed and i would hate for my Mama to have a hard time.  Otherwise I will try for CN around 5ish and maybe just do 20 minutes or so.

What do long NWs usually mean for her, 3hrs is a LONG time for 'just' OT - with mine when they're OT it's lots of NWs but they go back to sleep reasonably quickly (like, within half an hour or an hour at most).

Ahhh. Yes. I would give $$$ to know this! I mean we have had these after days when I thought our routine was decent and then she would babble at BT for a bit and then go mad and then go for 3 hours! We have had them on days when we had a visitor ( even very low key visitor)  We have had them on days when we have been out and I KNEW it had been a rough day. But then, we had one of our best nights "ever" after we had been out and had 2 26 minute naps. All. Day.
SHe then slept 13 hours with a NF 10 hours into it! Heaven! So, I have figured on it a lot but I am afraid I don't honestly know!!!

Maybe BT wasn't quite early enough?...
IN hindsight I think I should have done 5:30 BT, but here we are huh!?

Thank you both so much for taking the time to help me with this girl! It really makes a difference in the middle of the night ( when you are sure you are both NEVER sleeping again!) knowing there are such wonderful, capable, Moms helping me with her!) I had hoped to figure this girl out by her 1st Bday but not so sure now! Thanks. THoughts?

Hun could it be that she did this just because it was such a change in her usual routine YK? Some LOs - especially some spirited/touchy ones will struggle for a wee bit just because of the change rather than because they are OT/UT YK?

You definitely have nailed the first A time with one good naps :) I would suspect she can do 4 hrs at least after that :-\ I guess you could keep trying for a few more days and see if she settles or go to a long day short night with the CN ... What do you think?

I think I know what yesterday's challenge was. She has gone all snotty ( must have gotten too close to big brother) Bleah. We wound up doing a 2nap day yesterday. Did a 20 minute CN from 5:12-5:32 and then she was out for the night at 7:35. DH and I were out for a bit but my Mama never had to go in ( whew!) and she only had a few burbles. I did NF at 4:00. Then gave her PInkey Mouse at 6:24 ( suspecting our day had begun) SHe slept til 8!

This will put our nap at 12:30 so I think today is a good day to try a 1 nap day again. I am guessing an A somewhere around 4hr20ish after our nap??I would think if she is feeling  a bit wobbly then a shorter day could help anyway!

All those NW's did sort of seem to be way more than just OT! Sweet girl....:(

Thanks Mamas!

Ohhh poor poppet. We just had a 2 hr long NW last night too with T and this morning he is defiantly not himself so they often do indicate something brewing don't they!

Good luck tonight! Yes I find a sleep in is often a good opportunity for 1 nap days in the jump. I would go ~4.5 after the nap till BT. :-*

Today was weird. I put it down to her feeling a bit off so am not making more of it than that right now. Have a 53 minute 1st nap and she was NOT interested in going back to sleep. Did CN 4 hours later ( this was later than I was going for but just the way it worked out) Got 20 minutes out of her and then did BT 2 hrs later. Quiet evening so far, hope she can rest well.
She has been remarkably civil despite her runny nose, and is eating like a horse. Hoping she is back to her old self here shortly! Get well vibes for your little T!

It doesn't "feel" like teeth...Have checked and don't feel anything/see anything. She has two top and bottom. Big Brother has had a runny nose the past few days so I don't know if she has a touch of that.

She slept 11.5 hours last night with only 1 NW at 3:15 ( fed) She is very happy this morning and no snot yet so maybe she is over it already. 1st nap at 12 so may do 1 nap day depending on how things go.

Well, her nose has dried up and we had a good quiet night so we planned a 1 nap day. Out at 12. Woke at 1:22 and was off and on fussing until 1:30, then back out  until 2:10!! So, BT at 6:40. Almost tempted to give our 1st A another bump, maybe 10 mins or so to get her over the 1:10-1:20 "thing"But, am probably getting ahead of myself. We will hold this EASY and see how we go for the next little bit. Until the next round...thanks Mamas!
