Is his nap longer or better when you have shorter A?

Either way they are both 40 to 45 minutes long. When it is a longer wake time he cries a lot before he falls asleep and at the 45 minute mark. When his A times are shorter he falls asleep easily, and at the 45 minute mark he's just Talking to himself
So for this morning's nap, I did one hour and 45 minute wake time, he won't stop crying at the 45 minute mark, he is trying to sleep but keeps crying every 10 minutes

Before the sleep regression started, his wake time was one hour and 20 minutes and sleeping well

I would persist with longer A being honest if you care for longer naps. What works imho at that age with 3 or 4 naps is accepting that some naps are short and concentrate on lightening others.
