I’m new to the forum so sorry if I don’t put this all down correctly. I had severe sleep deprivation which led tp pnd and pna with DS1. DS2 is now 7 weeks and I’m paranoid about repeating our sleep issues. I know he’s young but we’ve been doing EASY since he was born. The problem we have is that he wakes when his dummy falls out and we end up putting it back in over and over again, especially at nap times. He’s a very sucky baby and the dummy soothes him but I’m worried it’s a prop and will stop him extending sleep through the night. He’s EBF Our EASY is:
7am feed
8am sleep in side crib (wakes at 10,20 and 45 mins, once settled and we replace dummy, hold hand on chest until he falls asleep). Resettle after 45 mins is sometimes successful but takes up to 40 mins of replacing dummy every few mins. Nap is longer if I sleep beside crib
10am feed
11am nap in pram (as at 8am, same problem if just pram bassinet or if out walking)
1pm feed
2pm nap in pram
4pm feed
5-6.15pm nap in crib
7pm feed, bath, bedtime asleep by 8pm
10.30 dreamfeed
1.30am feed
4.30am feed (rarely sleeps longer than 1hour after this feed then replace dummy/hand on chest to get back to sleep. Wakes again around 6.30am)
He’s swaddled and we play white noise/have a wind down routine but I don’t know how to fix the dummy issue which I think is causing short naps/more frequent night wakes.
Any advice would be great
