Kat, thanks for sharing. I do remember not liking my long hair brushed.... it was also very thick but nowhere near as curly as Isabella's is. Jasmine's hair is also curly but not as thick so its much easier to care for.

I went yesterday to make an appoitment to get her hair cut :(. She didn't mind me braiding it on the 1st & 2nd day but now she won't let me near her hair. I must have yanked it or something when I was braiding it & she screamed out in pain & that was that.

Its been really hot here & I can't stand it anymore. She sweats & it smells & I can't hold off washing it every couple of weeks cause it just gets more & more dirty by the day. Also the pain its causing her & I hate hearing her scream like that.... I don't think she could care less how long her hair is & I figured it will grow & once she a little older she can chose if she wants it long cause hopefully she will be able to care for it herself, lol! For now, its going to be short. So much easier to wash & I didn't even have to brush it before.... I could just put a clip on the side & that was that....

So her hair is getting the chop on thursday at 9.30am.

This is the length I want it at... DH of course thinks I need to "teach" her to take daily showers & I laughed so hard when he said that & said to him... "ok so you want me to start the day with her screaming for help every single morning" ::).

Anyways, I'll be taking these pics with me.... cause this is about the length I am comfortable with. I just pray to God that she will let them cut it. I talked to the hair dresser yesteday & she said she's done children's hair plenty of times & they have a dvd player, etc... so hopefully that will be enough to keep her at the chair.

Wishing you luck - hope all goes well with the hair cut.  I think you are right that as she gets older she will be better able to take care of her hair herself and can choose to let it grow if she wants.  I can't blame you for not wanting to have such a battle.  :)
Love and Laughter,

Cindy

Wow, she is so cute! That is exactly the way Leorah's ahir is going exept it's curly around the back and sides but the front hasn't caught up yet! I agree, she doesn't care what length her hair is  :)
