Is 2 1/2 month old too young for 3 1/2 hr EASY
« on: November 13, 2006, 22:46:46 pm »
She is starting to only take 5 minutes total (Brestfed) at some feedings and still lasts 3 hours between feedings.  Also sleeping through the night.  I had her weighed today because I was worried she wasn't getting enough and she's fine.  She's always been a pretty efficient feeder.  She seems like she'd like to extend her A time more (now at 1hr 15-30 minutes depending on her cues).  I've let her go 3 1/2 hours a few times due to lack of falling asleep and she does pretty well.  But, the change from 6X day to 5X dayconcerns me.  What do you think?

From the sounds of it your lo is ready to transition.

Have a look at this link and it will give you a bit more info.

I would not worry about the drop to 5 bottles, as if the 3.5 hour routine suits your DD she should start taking more per feed.

Do you clusterfeed / dreamfeed?
