OK, thanks.

She is on soy formula, so that is a little more limiting.  This is the only soy formula she will drink, we have tried others and then she actually drank almost nothing!

I will make sure we use formula in her cereal to help boost the nutrition.  I am using Avent bottles with variflow teats - I make it as fast as she can take it without spilling it everywhere, so that seems to be OK.  Yoghurt is also a good formula alternative isn't it?  I could get really tricky and stir some formula powder through that if it would help...

From what I have noticed when playing around with her feeds previously is that if she has milk first, she won't eat solids.  If she has solids first, she will still have milk, and usually about the same as if she didn't have solids.  I have also noticed that if anything is off with her (teething illness tired etc) the milk is the first thing that suffers - even if we take all the solids away (as we tried when ill to boost her milk intake) she still will not take the milk.  That is why the CHN and Dr told us to try feeding her more like a toddler - so solids are big in her diet, but that she at least gets a full and varied diet.

I think I will stick to yesterdays feeding for a full week to see the impact it has.   Do you think there is any chance that she is ready for less daytime sleep - ie should I limit daytime sleep to no more than 3 hrs say? Do you think that would help her bedtime?  She is at daycare today and is likely to get only 1.5 hr sleep if we are lucky, I will see if that helps her bed time.

Last night was out worst night for bedtime, but was not the first one that went that way in the last week.  I had put it down to getting back on track from illness, but now I am wondering if she is actually needing a routine tweak...

Sorry, now I am rambling, she is just getting more and more inconsistent! And me more and more lost (personality clash there, I am an organised planner!)

I hear you re the cereal, maybe I will do fruit for breakfast, vegies/protein for lunch and cereal for dinner - hmm worth a try. And yeah, we just switched back to this formula the last couple weeks since she refused the other one we tried (we can only get two types of soy where we live).

I will keep an eye out for other nipples I could use, I don't know if we have playtex here in Aus, I have never seen it.  I def can't get any in my town, they only sell one brand in my whole town, and not much of that stuff either. ::)

OK I will stop bothering you now.  I will see how we go this week.  Fingers crossed.  Oh, and although bedtime was long last night, she did sleep through, woke happy as larry (despite her night being 2.5 hr shorter).  Maybe she is needing less sleep after all.

Stacy

Yesterday I had already dropped Zara at daycare when we talked (I was at work :-X).  But, her day was like this:

5:15am wakeup
6am - Breakfast - solids and fingerfood and 180ml bottle
8am Nap 1/2 hr (not to worry she never sleeps much at daycare)
9am Snack - fruit and arrowroot biscuit
11:30 Lunch - solids and fingerfood and 180ml bottle
12:30 -Nap 1/2 hr
2:30 - Snack - yoghurt and arrowroot biscuit
5:00 - Dinner - Solids and finger food
6:30 - Bottle - 240ml
7pm Bed.

And she went to bed with no dummy and no complaint at all and no playing.  And she has slept through with a tiny stir at  4am that did not require me to get out of bed and go to her ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. It is now 5:10am and even though we are up getting ready for work, she has not woken yet...any time from now is perfectly fine, I think she is starting to stir.

So, I will continue with the feeding schedule, but do you think I should also limit her day sleep to 2 hrs or something?

And thankyou again for your help, it was wonderful to have a full night sleep finally.
