I am so pleased that the Paed listened to you and gave you another formula to try.

With regards to the bowl movements.  It can take your lo's tummy a while to get used to the formula.  Have you switched to a soy formula?  This can be constipating so would keep an eye out on it.

Agree with PP's do everything possible to help him sleep until he is caught up on his OTness, and once he is feeling better, then you can try and implement EASY more strictly.

I agree with pps, the new formula may be causing constipation.  This is normal.  It will take him some days to adjust.
I wouldn't worry if it has been only one day from his last BM.  Sometimes, my LO has BM every 3rd day, and the ped told me it was ok.  He told me that if he was not uncomfortable or in pain, then that I shouldn't worry.
So just watch him closely to check that he is ok and with no discomfort.

Hugs and hope he is better now :-*

Paula - we are on Similac Sensitive - Lactose free - not Soy.  He went today and it wasn't the Green colour it has been - good sign.  I guess formula fed babies do have green b/c of the added iron but his were green and getting runny (TMI? LOL)  He has slept well today and I am going by his cues. He is going longer between feeds today but taking more so we'll see.  He is also sleepy today but I got started off right with 2.5 hours and we got him napping within 1 hour of his 2nd feed this morning.

I am going to do the sleeping / AP thing for a week to 10 days (it takes about that long for the full effects to kick in apparently) then we will try again and he will be 12 weeks old so good timing.  Unfortunately the immunizations will be next so things will change again.

Thanks for all your advice ladies and I am sure we are not out of the woods yet I may post on this thread again :)

That is fantastic news.  I am pleased that he is feeding and sleeping better.  Yes I have heard that the runny green pooh can mean an intolerance.

Keep us posted on how thing go, and remember we are here for you when you are ready to start with his routine again :-*
