if she's feeling poorly and missing daddy, that may mess things up too.....I think you've got a good plan, it just may take a bit of time to sort it out for her.  Let me know how you get on.

On the plus side, she went back to sleep until 6.45 - and woke up in quite a good mood for about 20 minutes!  ::)  She had a total meltdown before her lunchtime sleep, but went on to sleep 1h45.  I put her down at 7.15 and didn't hear from her again - I'm guessing she went to sleep at about 7.45 again (I have been obsessing so much about exactly when she goes to sleep that I decided to leave the monitor in a different room so that I couldn't  :P) so we'll see how we get on tomorrow.  I have to say I think this is working - thanks for the help and support.

YAY - so glad it seems to be working!!!!  And well done with putting the monitor in another room :)  I used to obsess about how long it took dd to get to sleep too, then someone reminded me that I don't drop immediately to sleep either when I go to bed, so then I said "well, if she's not screaming, then I'm ok with her in there....".

Another 6.45 wake-up!  ;D  She was at nursery today and only had 1h sleep, so we will see if that makes a difference tomorrow.  It's less worrying, though, since it seems that she is getting back on track.

Thank you very much.
