Mashi,
I buy "Vaailia" for toddlers, 10.5g per 100g it's pretty low c/w some I have seen that are "designed" for kids. I also buy Baby Yoplait, when I can find it....

I had trouble with greek yogurt with Eva , explosive nappies,IYKWIM so I stopped buying it, but yep! Yummy with fruit...... and that Dalfour jam is yummy too, I buy that for the very same reason as PP

Have fun at the supemarket! ;)

The yogurt I buy for DD is called Liberte Mediterenee Vanilla flavoured.  Per 175g serving it has 21g of sugar.  It's an 8.5% milkfat yogurt.  I don't mind that it has that much sugar (she only eats about 80g at a sitting) because she likes it, she hates plain yogurt.  Most of the rest of her diet is low sugar so I feel it evens out over the week.

i used to make home yogurt but way too much effort...now I just buy...but because of the sugar we moved to giving DS plain yogurt mixed with honey and fruit.

To reduce the processed sugar content of the yoghurt I was giving to the kids, i would mix something like Yoplait yoghurt with an equal amount of plain yoghurt.  Enough flavour for the kids to taste, but more natural rather than processed sugars.

Mashi, that must be a Continental Europe thing, with the variety of yogurt ... We have TONS of different kinds here too - of course I LOVE yogurt so it really suits me, but I can see that it's a bit crazy.

Reminds me of a foreign friend of dh's. He came over to visit a few years ago and on the day he was to get on a train for Paris, he asked dh to take him to a grocery store so he could buy some yogurt for the journey. The variety was so vast he was unable to choose anything and left empty-handed ...

I can completely understand this! I stand and look, and look and go through them all and end up just sighing and getting the same old alpro soy yogurt!  Special yogurt that is good for mixing with museli, stuff that is best for breakfast, mid-day yogurt, different yogurt for cooking, yogurt flavoured chocolate, chocolate flavoured yogurt....sigh.  Like I have time for this!!   8)

Then there's all the things that are like yogurt, but are not actually yogurt: kwark/quark, vla, I can't tell the difference!!

Argh, Lucy don't get me started on the quark! I can't tell the difference in any of them and don't know which ones would be good for what! I'd like to start using them quark because I like it, but don't know which kind is which....! Stay tuned for my next post! LOL

I am in the states so it is different, but the only kind of yogurt I have been able to find without added sugar is plain yogurt (greek or regular).  I add pureed fruit to it for sweetness and flavor.  My LO isn't able to eat dairy, but we do this with coconut yogurt.  I also do this for myself with greek yogurt, since I don't want all of the added sugar, nor do I like artificial sweeteners.

In Aus I used to get Jalna yogurt, it's also just sweetened with fruit.

this is what i buy as well for the kids - full fat vanilla and it has 12g sugar (much is from the milk).  for me i get one of the super low sugar ones that is by Yoplait - called Forme. not as creamy so alex prefers jalna but liv likes my date flavoured forme and it has 1% sugar.

Feeling very lazy here now. I use muller little stars (fromage frais) in the UK and they have 11.6g sugar. I wish it had less TBH but there are only so many food battles I can face with DS.
