Wet wipes on kitchen cabinet doors and appliances is another way to occupy little ones and get gunk off the front of the stove and dishwasher too!

DD Loves this activity. She would get the paintbrush and paint our patio stones.  Then she would splash her hand in the water and laugh. Eventually, she dumped the water on herself. It was fun to watch.

Another idea is different sized paint brushes in the sand box.....

We could rename the thread....All about paint brushes.

We actually do that too!!!  At the Children's Museum here they have a kind of "dino-dig" sandbox...so we sort of stole thier idea! DD has a sand table (we got it from a nursery school for $20 and it's awesome!) and we bury those little platic animals...you know the kind you can get at Michaels?  Then we use the big paint brush to brush the sand away and find them!

Natalie prefers to find her hidden sand toys with a sieve. Less work. I shudder to think what that one would do with paintbrushes in the sandbox. LOL

  Yes, I have noticed certain size paint brushes work better for different kids and different age levels. 

We dig for small toys as well in the sandbox!

Oh I love the sand and sieve idea.  We're getting DD a sand pit for her birthday on Friday and she'll LOVE searching for things in it!
