Lol....blimmin men!!  I know for sure it will be an eye opener for him for me to be away for 3 days!!  Im not sure if he is teething or not.....Im watching for other signs.  Today he only slept for 30 minutes because he fell asleep in the car and I tried to shift him and he didnt like that idea......should of left him in the car!!  He was really tired tonight and went down perfectly!!  I didnt even sit on his floor till he was asleep so thats great.  Fingers crossed tonights a good one....Im exhausted!!  DH and I were able to talk tonight (as opposed to just being grumpy this morning!!) and he understands better what we need to be striving for.....but to be fair ds is pretty clingy and gets grumpier when its not me that comes to settle him!

Maybe he just needs to be properly tired to go down without a fight?  Fingers crossed the night went ok!

He went down well.  He generally does its just that he keeps waking during the night!!  I was up 4 times last night but only for a minute or so each time which is better than the night before!

We have just started getting NWings again with DS2 and I know it's because of teeth.  He goes down fine too, just wakes several times!  ::)

I tried wake to sleep last night.  DH stirred him before he came to bed at 10.30, then I did it again at 1,3&4.30 and it was successful till 5.20.  If I try it for 3 nights and its successful will I have the bulk of our problem sorted??

Bit of a fail last night...on my part!!  I decided to stay up and watch the rugby world cup and have a few wines.....so slept through till Isaac woke at 3!!!  But I did w2s at 5 and he slept till 6.45 which he never does so that was good!!

hey, that is really good!  Sounds like the w2s is working and he is waking less and less.  :)

We are definitely winning!!!  Unfortunately I had to go away for 6 days and we had just about got Isaac sorted and I was worried that dh would undo it.  But he didnt!! Actually he was excellent and Im so grateful to him for having the kids so I could do what I felt I needed to do (my best friend was dying of cancer and I was meant to spend a weekend with her and say goodbye but she took a turn for the worse and I was told on the monday if I wanted to say goodbye I needed to go then. I spent 3 days in the hosp with my friend and her sisters till she passed...we didnt get much sleep!  And then stayed and spoke at her funeral....I couldnt of done that without dh's support).

Anyway our wee man is mostly sleeping through!!  He has bad dreams some nights and needs his back rubbed but we have some really good nights.   Thankfully last night was one of them as we went to a wedding on saturday night and I celebrated maybe a little too much!!  lol.  The transition to a big boy bed has been really easy, he loves it.  And the transition to sharing a room has gone really well.....we are very lucky!!!

Great sleep update!  Though I am truly sorry to hear about your friend.  I'm glad DH was supportive and pulled through for you.  Sometimes they do well when left to sort it out themselves.  ;)  I think now that you're seeing better nights consistently, things should continue to improve.  :)

Thanks its been a big couple of weeks.  Parenting littlies doesnt come naturally to dh but he truly did a great job.  Ive even found he settles Isaac for his nap better than me!!  And he vacuumed and bathed them while I was away...lol!!

A full nights sleep is such a luxury!!  Thanks heaps for your support.  He's starting to teeth again so it will be interesting to see how it interrupts his sleep?!

Maybe you will get lucky and it won't be so bad.  I was fully bracing for a disaster with DS2's canines because that is what happened with DS1, and they have hardly caused any major problems.  You never know!
