Should I just leave her EASY alone?
« on: February 24, 2012, 21:12:22 pm »
We finally were getting 90 min naps for 1st naps and 1 hr naps for her other 3. Then right back to 1hour 1st nap and 45 minute naps for the rest. I figured out that it was a HUGH growth spurt (all of her 3month clothes no longer fit, in size 3 diapers; when from 12.9 pounds to 14.2 pounds AND now she can lift her head and shoulders right off the floor laying on her back then lower herself no problem) . When she wakes I always leave her till she starts to cry and then go get her, as soon as she sees me she is always smiles and coos. She is never grumpy after these 45 minute naps. Since doing PU/PD it takes 3 whole minutes to get her to sleep, honestly she is passed out in her crib at the 3 minute mark and I am back upstairs  ;D
Also she still is eating every 3 hrs, I have tried to get her on a 3.5-4hr feeding routine but even going 5 minutes over she flips out. She is drinking 6-7oz sometimes she leaves some, sometimes not.
By the end of the day her eating and A times shorten (this is her choice,I just go with it).
Since this growth spurt she has cut out her NF totally, sleeps right till 8am then wants to eat but not starving. happily will wait till 8:30am if I am busy with her sister.
Her Easy (for this last week is):
8am- wakes up and bottle
10am- sleep
11am- up and bottle
1pm-sleep
1:45- up
2:00pm-bottle
3:45- sleep
4:30-up
5:00pm- bottle
6:30-sleep
7:00-7:15 up
7:30-bottle
7:45-bath
8:15- out for the night
11pm-DF
STTN
Since she is STTN, waking happy from naps and 90% of the time in a great mood, should I just leave well enough alone for now? Or try to push for a 4 hr routine with longer naps?

Hello!!
So wonderful she's STTN!! *cheer* How long has she been on this new routine for and STTN? I'm tempted to say leave it BUT if anything goes wonky and she does get OT by the end of the night, I would tweak thereafter.

I'm not sure if the second nap is a UT nap or OT nap. Do 45 mins indicate either one with your daughter? If it is UT then her A time probably needs to be increased if she can do 2 hours after a 1 hour nap and still give you a UT nap.

Otherwise..if she's happy...and the routine is working for you right now - I'd go with it at the moment :) :-*

And of course now we are having issues, last 2 nights it's taken 2 hrs to put her to bed, major Ot once again.
DH held her for her 1st nap today and got 1.5 hrs out of it and it's her 2nd nap time right now and I am sitting in her room  in the rocking chair well she sleeps. Going to try very hard to extend this nap.
