No I didnt! It's great and especially over such a short period of time too! His room is right next to the stairs maybe I could sit there where he couldn't see me.

Well done. I agree be out of sight but so he can hear you for the next step. I find after a few checks I am there I can then go in my own room and get on with waking or something and just pop back to the door if he calls.

All still going well but still getting nw's, routine is still 7 til 8 and he has a cold at the moment which isn't helping.

Great things are going well. You must be more confident that even with NWs that they are not so much to do with his dependence on you being there? A lot of my friends are getting NWs at 3-3.5 years and I think it is dreams/nightmares etc. Olly woke the other night saying there was a monster in his room. His cousin thinks there is a spider in his. TBH I am happy to stay with Olly if he thinks there is a monster in there. I am not going to leave him then!

He did have a nightmare the other night about aliens! He has a book called planet zumzee so it's been from that.

He now has a bad cold so it's not helping our independent sleeping but I know he can do it now.

Things had been going well until he got a cold then it turned into croupe. I've been back just sitting on his bed for now. Trying to stick to 7 til8 routine as much as possible but he still is so tired.

Aww it is so hard when they are ill isn't it. C is bad at the minute with a cough and is awake loads in the night wanting us. Totally understandable when they feel under the weather. You will be able to get back in track quickly once A feels better again. Hope he gets better soon.

Thanks bex, I keeping thinking at least we haven't went back to the old ways again he is still managing to fall asleep independently.

It's so hard when they  become ill, it's so easy to get them to sleep anyway just to make things easier.hope c gets better soon.
