Hi Zissy,

I'm happy to hear your naps are back and your Saturday looks fantastic!

I also went back to her old A time of 2.30 but ended up with a 40m nap..I also started getting EW ( 5 am) . Now my day is all over the place and she is awake wayyy too long. Yesterday she took 4 30 minute naps in order for her not to be OT at BT of 7pm.

So I'm at a loss, A of 2.30 is giving her a nap of 40m, and an A of 2.40 is giving a nap of 30m...Do I try A of 2.35m?? Can it really be THAT precise??

And her 2nd A time is always shorter sometimes 2.20 because she's so tired she can't stay awake any longer than that.

Not usually, but for some babies yes.  Especially touchies.  What personality is she?  Most can handle bigger jumps though so I would probably stick with pushing A times and working towards dropping the CN.  Transitions are tough... my DD went from 2x 2hr naps plus a CN to sometimes only 2x 40min naps during the 3-2.  It was a rocky road for a while but it evened out and she went back to sleeping well once she adjusted to the 2 naps.

She's a spirited baby. This morning she had an A time of 2.35 (by fluke) and napped for 40 minutes. She's in her crib now awake but not crying so I'm leaving her for a bit to see what happens.  Tomorrow I'll try 2.40 again.

And thanks Enami, it helps to know that it does get better.

Hi Fran !

Sad to say but no improvement at all here. We're still doing 30 or 40 minute naps no matter what time I put her down.I've also had to bring her bedtime 1 hour earlier because her last A time was too long and causing EW. Now she's still waking early but it's 6am at least ( and not 5)  I think I'm just hoping to see if time will fix this at this point...
