Hi, my twin boys are now 8wks old (born 5.5 wks early), weigh 9.3lb each, and take approx 100mls of formula at each 3hr feed, but during the day I'm finding that they are too sleepy after a feed for any kind of Activity. I'm finding that their activity time is best in the hour before their feed. I'm sure if they did have some kind of activity after a feed it would help them bring up their wind and they'd probably settle better for their sleep/naps. However I've tried changing nappies half an hour after a feed and they often bring it right back up!
After each feed I spend about 10-15mins burping and keeping them upright after the feeds (as they both suffer a little with wind and reflux) and then often put them down for a nap as they're so sleepy. They often then wake a few minutes later sometimes with more wind or because they've just realised that I'm not there any more.
Has anyone got any advice for me so I can structure their activity time more so they settle better? or will things just improve as they get older?
Thanks
Nicola
