I've bought tofu from Sainsbury before.  I've just looked on the tesco website and they sell it too.

In Sains, you'd fine it either
a) near the prepack ham / deli bits - with the quorn products.  There's a company called 'cauldron' that sell tofu that has been already flavoured and 'ready to eat'
or b) if I remember - you can buy a 'carton' (like orange juice - cut the corner off cartons KWIM) for want of a better word of either hard or soft tofu near where I'd find the dried pulses / cous cous / pasta kind of aisles.  In a white carton with red  or blue writing on it depending on which one you get.  You'll need the soft for putting into a smoothie - but don't try 'making it into anything like kebabs with it like I did - it goes completely to mush!!!  Get the hard for that one!!

15milner - cool, thanks for that. We only go to Sainsbury's sometimes as is it is further away than Asda or Tesco, but I will look out for it when I am there. I will also pop into Tescos sometime soon - I have heard of cauldron foods - I think I might have tried some nutty loaf bites or something of their before - yum.

YEAH!!!!

You should be able to find reduced salt/sodium lunch meats at the deli counter though.  Also, with the beans, look at all of them at the store, you may be surprised!
