Experienced BW mommies wanted! Re: Ontario time change
« on: November 01, 2007, 13:22:51 pm »
HIYA!! :D
Need some advice before the time change this weekend. How on earth do I keep my lo up another hour? My kid is on a schedule like clockwork. Sleepy is 7pm and wake is 6:30-6:45am. This CANNOT change LOL
Suggestions would be ever so appreciated. If I keep her up longer, won't she wake earlier coz she'll be overtired? Or do i hope for hte best and put her to bed at 7pm and hope she'll be fine on her own?
I think we fall back for time....so 8pm sleep would really be her 7pm bedtime and do I do this on the Saturday or the Sunday night?
Thanks
Laura  ;D

Some mum's start preparing for the time change days before so you slowly work on building up the hour change ,you can add 10 mins to their schedule daily and do it gradually . I just put DS to bed at usual time the night of the change and work on the new time change the next day , we only had a few bad days before he was on his usual schedule again .
Good luck !

We started the time changed today with everything being moved back one hour.  DD and DS will go to bed at the new time (DS will get an extra catnap to compensate), and hopefully this will give us a few days to adjust.  So by Monday everything will be fine again.  Another mom told me to do it on a Friday so that dh will be around the weekend to help deal with any crankiness that might arises.
