5 minutes is rather fast isn't it?

my LO is almost 12 week sold, and is around 11lbs.
She has reflux. Using Gerber Level 1 nipples
Sometimes if she is really very hungry, she gets VERY mad if I take the bottle away and will want to drink the entire bottle "say 3oz" without taking a break. Is this bad? She really gets mad and crys. But the other thing is - she's drinking it in like 5 minutes ??. Other times she will only take in say 2oz and no matter how many times she burps and/or spits up...she won't take anymore and gets all fussy. I just fed her and I ended up letting her drink as much as she wanted because she would get SO SO mad if I took the bottle away from her. Am I causing additional problems by doing this? 5 minutes is an awfully short time isn't it? If I was to go down a nipple I already know feeding times will be VERY VERY slow. It's the nurser nipple from gerber so it's for 0-3 month. I shouldn't complain because lots of times she'll drink the first 2oz fast and than it's a struggle to get anymore in her and feedings end up taking close to 45 minutes because she wants to take a big break inbetween.

in the past I've tried many different bottles and nipples. dr. brown level 1 nipple she also drinks VERY fast when she's really hungry.

Well, if she's on the newborn nipple size, maybe she's just a fast eater.  Burp her before and after, keep her well elevated and hold her upright for a while after the feed.

My little guy is a fast eater too, does not like to be burped in the middle of the feed. He's 4 months now and he eats 6-7oz in about 10 minutes, maybe faster. I just burp him well afterwards.
I use the Dr Browns bottles. I used the Avent ones when he was little, but he would down 6 oz in less than 5 minutes and scream for an hour afterwards...LOL I think you may be able to find even slower release nipples - I found the playtex ones have a real slow release to the point Jack was getting frustrated...there is no winning.
