Ella is 14.5 months old and has been on 1 nap since 12 months, which has been going great. Since the time change, she has been waking at 6/6:30 am (before DSL waketime was 7/7:30 am, so it seems she is stuck on this time). Keep in mind she has always tended to rob night sleep for day, which doesn't settle well with her because she'll wake early in the am not fully rested because she has ALWAYS needed a minimum of 11.5 hours at night, but she prefers 12. She has always been on the average to above average range of sleep needs.
Prior to the time change our routine was:
7/7:30: wake (out of bed at 7:30)
12:00: in crib for nap, asleep in 5-15 mins tops
2:15/2:30: awake, more than 50% of time have to wake her at 2:30
7:00: in bed, asleep in 10-20 mins. tops
Since the time change we have kept everything the same with the earlier am wakings trying to get her to adapt to the time change. She is asleep in just a few minutes for her nap and sleeping like a rock until I wake her at 2:30. At night she is asleep right away too. The only thing that bothers me is she is waking in the am not seeming fully rested and then getting cranky before naptime, which didn't happen prior to DSL. She is getting about 13.5 hours, which I think is about average. Prior to DSL she was getting about 14. I am wondering if I should cut nap to 2.25 or 2 hours, make bedtime a little later 7:15/7:30, or push nap a little later. We can't do nap earlier than noon due to schedules and I can't have bed any later than 7:30 because she doesn't do well if bed is past 7:30 and I am getting my master's full-time online and DH works the afternoon shift so I need a good amount of time in the evening to do work. Tonight she was extra tired as she spent the weekend at the IL's because DH and I were out of town, so I put her to bed at 6:30 and she was out like a light in minutes. I appreciate your feedback!!
