12 mo + 1 nap = what time is the nap?
« on: November 14, 2007, 17:42:07 pm »
Hi,

My LO just turned a year a few weeks ago. We have been transitioning to one nap for the same amount of time. I never thought he'd go to one nap this early but here we are. If he sleeps even for 10 min in the morning, he will not go down for a nap!

Here's my question - what time do I put him down for his one nap? He has been waking around 6:30 since the time change (some days later, some days earlier - never before 6:15). He sleeps thru the night.

however, he is not showing tired signs at all anymore! i tried putting him down at 11a, which worked for a while. then a few days he would not go down after around 1:30 (after trying several times). it is so confusing! today he woke at a little after 6ish (poopy diaper) and i got him to go down around 11:30. i'm shocked he went to sleep. we climbed the stairs up and down a few times.

what do you think?

5-5.5 hours from wake-up time is fairly normal and then the same amount after the nap. the nap should be about 2hrs long.
