5 month old with short A
« on: December 30, 2007, 02:59:28 am »
My five month old seems to have very short A time. She can NOT stay awake more than 2 hours and most of the time NEEDS to be asleep after 1 hour 15 minutes to an hour and a half.
If she does not have her naps, she is not a happy girl. I've tried extending her awake time, but she goes down so easily when I'm reading her sleep signals, why upset her?  My niece is 3 weeks younger and can stay up for hours.

My DD wakes at 7 and is sleeping by 8 until 10 sometimes. Is this normal?

indeed, why upset her?  some babies do need more sleep.  sounds like your baby might be one of them.  well done you for reading her signals!!  :)
