She'd rather drink than eat and is 16 mos.

Bella doesn't really like to eat food. She'll eat some meats and breads and applesauce but that's it. I offer other stuff all time but she does not eat much of anything and instead winds up throwing it on the floor. However, she'll drink and drink and drink...........

I've gotten to where she doesn't get her cup til after meals or she won't eat cuz she's drank so much.

Is this normal?

Ds did this and completely filled himself up... we do the same as you are doing now. Jack was a nightmare for a while still begging for drink etc... but we cracked it.  My HV said sometimes they confuse hungry and thirsty, drinkings easier so they ask for that

hth a little, sounds like you have done great with limiting it xxx

We had the same problem. It works to only offer water to drink and every time she asks offer some, but only very little or distract. Emma is right.

Got some rice protein powder at Whole Foods. It has green veggies in it, like dried dandelion greens and beet greens and stuff. Comes in vanilla and chocolate too and Nat LOVEs it despite her aversion to all veggies except (of all thing) broccoli (which Josie LOATHES!).

I shake it up in a shaker or sippy of rice milk or cows' milk and Nat LOVE LOVE LOVES it!!!!!

Might be worth a try anyway.

Meanwhile, ther'es always pasta with kale steamed and food-processed into the sauce or into cottage cheese. Josie went thru a phase where she LOVED cottage cheese (a bit salty - YUM!) with greens, even though she won't touch it now. :(

sweet pic, deb! yep, I'd say she loved it by looking at her.  I'll have to look for the rice protein powder - we don't have a Whole Foods here - does anyone know of anywhere else I could find it? I don't know what happened, Bella loved veggies in baby jarred foods just not real ones now. She's all about texture I think, though.

I got the book "Deceptively Delicious" for Xmas so I'm going to try things out of there in the next few days. Bella has an issue with dairy. Has been on rice milk for about 4 months now and just today we're trying soy again to see if she can tolerate it.

oohhh Wendee check out the Deceptively Delicious thread that's stickied above in this forum. Colin and I both adore the pink pancakes!
