Keeping unmade bottles in the fridge
« on: January 23, 2008, 10:24:02 am »
I am using Tommee Tippee Bottles with the convenient little pots that hold the the formula in the bottle seperate to the water and i just mix the formula up when Nicholas is ready for a feed. I keep the bottles and formula pots in the fridge  and warm up as required is this safe?  Also I have noticed that since I have gone totally on to bottle feeding Nicholas (101/2 weeks old) is producing more pooy nappies - is this normal?

Hi there, yes it is fine for 24hrs.  I would say with the poopy nappies, it is normal, breastmilk is easily absorbed and taken for fat stores, there is very little waste, whereas with formula it is more normal to go every day, maybe even a few times a day

hope that helps, welcome to the boards  :)
