What age did you take your toddler to a movie?

I want to take my 2 1/2 year old to a movie.  I think he is ready. He will sit at home and watch a movie, he is very calm kid. 

Just wondering what age did you do it and how did it go?

Zach - 3 1/2 yrs old. My sweet, loving, gentle boy that loves playing in the dirt!

Tyler - 17 months.  My very very spirited little boy.  Can't turn your back for a minute.  He is doing the cutest things now!  Loves to eat and climb!

Paige was 3.5 for her first movie theater experience.  It was Curious George and she loved it.

We are considering taking both Paige and Jalyn (who is now 2.5) to see the VeggieTales movie.  Then again, I think of the expense and wonder if it is truly worth it (as J probably won't remember it).  :-\

i think both of mine could probably sit through a movie now (3YO & 4.5YO), but i am cheap.  if dh & i aren't seeing any movies, there's no way i'm paying for either of them to go!   :P

that being said.... regal cinemas does free movies every tues & wed mornings during the summers here.  they are older movies, but they always show 2 different ones; one for the younger set, & one for the slightly older (schoolage) set.  i might take them sometime this summer if they're playing something i'm okay with them watching.  :)

Marking my spot as I'd like to take ds but been a chicken so far!!! He loves films at home but can pause it and go for a wee,lol!!!  ;D

We went to see Ratoullie (sp) when it came out so he was 3. 5 then ,

he had a bucket of popcorn the size of him so he was so excited !!!

We have not been since , there have not really been any kids movies to go to yet, but i would take him again.  :)

Tyler saw "Cars" when he was 2.5. He sat perfectly still and quiet through the whole thing. He LOVED it! I'd take him to see another kids' movie again, but I'm really picky and haven't really seen any that are worth it, IMO.

E saw his first movie this past summer and he was almost 4.5.  We waited that long because he is quite noise sensitive and movies are REALLY loud.
