Hi there

12.5 week old Stan has been doing great on a 3-hour EASY, only for the last few days he's been waking at 5.45 instead of 7.

If I feed him at 5.45 (why is he hungry? He usually has had a feed at 4ish?), and then spent 40 minutes trying to settle him back to sleep, and then give up and start the day, do I count the day as having started at 5.45 or at 6.45?

Do I try and keep him on a 12-hour day/night, so put him to bed at 6.30? or try and keep him awake for a big longer in the day, and end up with a cranky boy?

our routine has been going something like this:

E/A 6.30 (5.45 today)
S 8.15
E/A 10
S 11.30
E/A 1
S 2.30
E/A 4
catnap (45mins-1hr) 5
bath 6
E 6.30
S 7
DF anywhere between 10.30 and 11.30 (DH seems to wait til he hears Stan starting to stir and then goes and feeds him.  ::)

Thanks in advance - any advice will be VERY gratefully received.

The only thing i can suggest is that the DF might be to late. Tracy suggests in her book that the DF shouldn't be any later than 11pm i think 10/10.30pm is generally a good time otherwise it can interfere with the rest of the night.

Thanks Natasha. I try and get DH to do the feed earlier, but even when he does do it at 10.30 it seems to only affect the time he wakes in the night, not in the morning. I"m scared that a 10pm DF will lead to a 3am then 5am NW pattern (instead of 4 and 6 which it is, more or less, currently).
