how much for df?
« on: March 07, 2008, 16:08:47 pm »
Do I try to give my lo the same amount of food during his df as his regular feeds?  I just don't want to over feed a sleeping baby!!

My lo has always taken as much in the DF as he does for all his other feeds.  It started out at 4-5oz, and now he takes 6-8oz!  I upped it to 8oz just the other day when he started waking earlier for his night feed...
If he starts to get squirmy while he's eating, and there are only a few oz's left, I'll take the bottle out presuming he doesn't want any more....
My lo has never spit up or anything after a DF, if that's what you're worried about.  There are a few times he has either woken, or been awake when I come in for the DF, if that's the case, I'll pick him up to see if he needs to burp, but then will put him right back down.

Meghan always took her biggest feed during the DF, not as many distractions!  I gave her about 6-7 oz, but she was only taking 4-5 during the day.
