My LO will be 10 months next week. I've been trying to get him more interested in finger foods but he's not too into it. He won't try any fruit or veggie as finger foods. He does enjoy cheerios, mum mums, arrowroot cookies, and biter biscuits though and eats those with no problem. I know it must be the texture because I'll put some cut up fruit/veggie on his high chair and he'll touch and but then wants nothing to do with it. He eats his purees pretty well and also loves yogurt. He drinks about 18-20oz. of formula a day. Here is what he eats now. I've been putting some sort of fruit/veggie finger food on his try for awhile now every time he eats but he never will touch it and I end up having to throw it out. Is it ok to still be on purees for awhile yet? I'd love not to be but he just doesn't seem like he'll enjoy more finger foods any time soon. I've also been using a safe feeder and he used to LOVE fruit in it, especially banana. Now he won't even eat that?!
Breakfast-2T oatmeal creal, 4oz. fruit, cheerios or mum mum
Lunch-2T oatmeal creal, 4oz. veggie, cheerios or something similar
Dinner-4oz. veggie/meat, 4oz. fruit, arrowroot cookie or something similar
Sometimes he won't eat all of this and sometimes he'll eat more
Thanks!
Amy
