Hi There,
Am posting this under Solids too as not sure whether this is a bottle issue or not. My lo is a textbook spiritied baby, 6.5months, on 4 hour EASY. Last two weeks he has started brining back his last bottle, not every night, say every 2/3 nights, and not sure what's going on. Last time he did this, we changed him from a 3 hour easy to 4 hour. Have just dropped the DF cold turkey, and he sleeps through, but tonight brought back his last bottle again.
Here's his routine:
6.45 Bottle (160ml)
7.45 Solids (c.2oz worth porridge with fruit/yoghurt and fruit)
11.15am Bottle (c.100ml)
12.15/12.30 Lunch solids (c.3oz worth - usually a veggie puree)
3pm Bottle (c.100mls)
5pm Dinner solids (c.3oz-5oz worth - usually a meat.fish and veggie puree)
7.10pm bottle (140mls) - this is the one he pukes up - he does it usually towards the end of the feed/sometimes a little while after, everything comes up including a small amount of solids, he's then happy as larry and takes another feed, usually about the same or a little less! and it's always this feed, not any of the others.
He's teething at the minute so he usually takes more solids.
What's up? - I'm now really careful not to push his bottle, only feed him when he's hungry, and only feed him as much as he wants. My instinct is he's full at that last bottle, but I don't want him to have it too late, or it'll make his day too long - please help, getting very tired to swabbing up his floor, him and me every couple of nights, and this just isn't good for him - it's like he doesn't seem to know when he's full. Has anyone else gone through this - should I give him less at the 11 and 3pm feeds? I'm conscious that he's taking only just enough milk anyway. He's a big baby - 19lbs 8ozs.
thanks
