Help! 10mo DS hates the stroller and car seat

My almost 10mo DS will only take a quick catnap when the timing is right in the car, if the timing is not right he would cry non stop.   On top of things, he would never sleep in the stroller, he is always looking around even when he is tired.  Recently when i put him down in the stroller, he would scream his head off till i pick him up.   >:(

I'm really worried as we're going on a trip to Asia in one month and i don't know how i'm going to survive carrying him all the time.  It doesn't help that he's a big boy, 21lbs!
Is there a way i can ease him into sitting in the stroller?  Do you think it's something that he will eventually grow out of and get used to?

Hugs to you. I am sorry I don't have any advise for you, but
I am going through the same thing with my 4 mth old. She has hated the stroller since day.

I would first see what has been happening in the past while your lo is in these devices...

loud noises?  going somewhere they don't like?

ie ds hates the doc office bc everytime we go there he has had needles/exams/surgery etc and we found that he would freak out in department stores for a bit after his surgery.  We found it was the lights... floresent lights (he didn't go out all that often bc he was a sick little guy).  After this we started taking him out to stores more often and it seemed to calm down... but he always knows when we are at the docs cause he has to take his clothes off! (poor guy) 

That's just the first thing that came to my head when I read your post...

I agree with Heather - ds got bitten by an insect whilst in his stroller - he screamed and screamed and refused to go back in his stroller - I eneded up carrying him and pushing the stroller well over 3km!  Next day refused to go in stroller - I figured it must be the bite so put him in it indoors and we played chase daddy and peek a boo type games - took a coupke of days but it worked.

Great idea Emma, I'll bring the stroller in and play with him in it.  Hopefully he'll have a positive association with it in a couple of days.
