Help with Naps and 3 hour EASY???
« on: May 29, 2008, 15:43:33 pm »
SO what do I do if she is taking longer than 1.5 hour naps???  right now she has been sleep for 2 hours -  do I wake her up or do I let her sleep as long as she needs to????     I went from no naps to her taking these long naps     she is 9 weeks old       I just didn't know how to handle these long naps now???

Her schedule has been like this

8pm bed
wake about 12 -12:30am
1am - 4am -  sleep
4am feed
4am - 6 or 6:30 am sleep
6:30 feed
7:30am - 9:30 or 10am  sleep

then another round of maybe 2 more naps of about 2-3 hours

What do I do?????

I wouldnt let lo sleep more than 2 hrs at a time. It can take away from night time sleep, and at this age you still want her to be feeding 3 hourly so she takes in as many calories as poss. At the very least, dont let her sleep much past feed times  :)

Sometimes, I will let my dd take a 2 1/2 or 3 hour nap if she is really overtired.  But, I usually only do this once a day.  I don't want it to interupt her night time sleep or her eating.
