finger foods again

Ok, we have some good news, my LO has begun to eat some finger food any ideas what else he may try. He will only eat toast. Toast with cream cheese and toast with mash banana or other fruit but only toast or a piece of bread roll. He will pick up brocolli florets and french beans but does not eat. He won't even pick up the fruit, pasta or cheerios I have tried.
The problem is that now he is eating toast won't eat much else, doesn't want his mashed foods and only eats fruit and yoghurt from me on the spoon. Will not do it himself at the moment. Chucks his spoon on floor.
He is nine months next week.
Do I just stop offering desert or is the fact that he has eaten some toast fingers mean he is ok to have desert? He is drinking about 18/20 oz of milk in 24 hrs.

Hello again Dizzy :D,

Could ds be hanging out for toast in the same way he was hanging out for other things he preferred when you last posted? If so, it could be 'mean mummy' time again, but also remember, milk is the priority still for another 3 months, so try not to let him drop his milk intake any lower!
