Stopping Breastfeeding-Any tips?

Hi- I am attempting to stop breastfeeding and so far my LO has done really well with the transition.  I am the one who is having a hard time.  I have not breastfed him in a week and have been attempting to decrease my supply for the past 1 1/2 weeks.  I have been decreasing the amount I pump and have been able to extend the time in between pumping but it has been a very painful process.  I am still very engorged and am afraid I will get mastitis at this rate.  Does anyone have any tips to help my supply decrease with more comfort?

Drink sage tea. Make an infusion from fresh sage leaves and eat fresh sage. It tastes foul but it does work.

I will definitely give it a try.  I feel like nothing can be worse than the pain of the past few weeks.  Thanks for the tip!

Hi

We stopped BFing cold turkey and I used the sage.  It must have helped as I only had really bad pain a couple of times.
