Ive found something that works for him!!

Hooray!! ;D ;D ;D

Finn is an angel textbook baby, he sleeps through the night and goes to sleep independently but it can take a while!! And he always wakes at the 45 minute mark for naps, he's happy enough to be awake but you can tell hes still tired but it was very very difficult to get him back to sleep so we just got him up after 45 minutes and bring his next nap forward a little.

Anyway to get to the point!! He hated being swaddled!! Even with his arms free his legs would go up in the air and his arms would flap!! So a few days ago I bought a new blanket, a heavier one and alot bigger than he had, I put it over him from the armpits down and tucked him in tight!! He was asleep within minutes, today he woke at the 45 minute mark and rather than get him up I went in and replaced his dummy and stood at the door and he went back off!! Still tucked in tight!! He loves it!! And I do too!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D I have a feeling he may have gone back off without the dummy but I didn't want to risk it because once hes awake hes AWAKE!! :) :)

I'm so happy that hes happy, it was quite stressful watching him fly around the cot until he finally dosed off :-\ :-\ :-\

I guess its similar to a swaddle, he feels more secure.  Why didn't I think of it sooner?! Ive never 'tucked' my babies in! They have used sleeping bags so never thought of it before!!

Thought Id share just incase it worked for someone else!!

That's great news! I've also just found something that's helped with my 6 mth DS - a white noise machine. I can't believe it's just coincidence that his naps have been great since I got it. It's such a weight off the mind when they start napping good isn't it?
