20 mo old NWs...
« on: August 26, 2008, 11:30:42 am »
OK, so we're finally on 1 nap for a good few weeks now.  BUT, at least a few times a week we have NWs.  Sometimes it's brief and right B2S, sometimes it's moaning every 10 mins for an hour and then B2S, and sometimes it's up for hours.  Her nap has been ranging from 1 hour 25 mins to 1 hour 40 mins.  Typically this is our day:

6:20am ish Wake
12:10pm Nap
Bed about 4.5-5 hours post nap

She's having a vocabulary explosion at the moment, so I'm not sure if that's contributing to the NWs.

Any advice?

Oh no....you're back? It was giving me such hope to not see you around here!

I am wondering if her morning A time is too long? I know you moved it to 6 hours A time to get a longer nap but I am wondering if that is catching up with her? I know it works like a charm for us, initially to get longer naps but it does result in NWs.

Could it be her eye teeth? We are cutting eye teeth here, on top of everything else!

Yes, unfortunately I'm back.  Feels like I never left  :P

I don't think the morning A time is too long, as if I decrease it her nap is less than 1 hour.

I've never been able to really extend her naps- once she's awake, she's up.

Any other thoughts?

the developmental stuff could be a culprit as could teething, have you tried pain meds? When she wakes have you tried doing wi/wo?

Sorry to see you back, that moaning every 10 mins usually means teething with Leorah and if we don't respond it can turn into a proper wide awake NW that can last an hour or more. Could it be teething?

I suppose it could be teething, though no outward signs of it.  It's strange, as after a bad night and a broken nap yesterday, she slept 6:35pm-5:52am.  A bit of an early start, but no NWs.

Well if it is teething we normally get a few days disruption and then a few days off...and so the wheel keeps turning  :P
