Can too Much Activity lead to OT?
« on: September 11, 2008, 00:59:49 am »
Just was wondering  ???:
Can having an very active day everyday make a toddler OT?
I am starting to think that maybe my daughter is OT from too much activity.  Is that possible?  We are always on the go---park, walk, --we are always doing something active.  We went on vacation, and she walked and walked while most kids are on stroller.

Maybe that is why she is short napping- 1 hour?????  She is 20 months and I thought that they need to be tired out.
Anyone has any thoughts on this?? Thank you

HI Siria  - yes they certainly can.  NOt so much OT but overstimulated - depends on the temperament as well.

I would suggest to watch her tired signs in the morning and try to gauge how tired she is.  she may need to go down earlier on those days.

what's her routine these days?
