Dropping Dream Feed / Milk Feeds
« on: October 09, 2008, 19:08:55 pm »
My LG is 7 months old today.   She has been on solids now for 6 weeks and, it all went very fast, she has been on 3 meals a day for 4 weeks. I want to drop her DF at 11pm but at the moment some days she has 6oz's and other days she has nothing and then of course everything in between...  so I am too worried about dropping it as it feels like her top up.  But she is taking less and less during the day and sometimes her first bottle is a struggle.  Our routine works something like this:

7.30 - wake and Milk (6oz's)  - she fights this much sometimes.  Is she not waking hungry maybe?
8.30 - Bowl of porridge
9.30 - 11.30 / 12.00 - Morning Nap
12.00 - 4oz bottle.  Sometimes she will have more I always make up 5oz's
13.00 - Lunch
14.00 / 14.30 - Afternoon Nap
16.00 / 16.30- 4oz Bottle
17.30 - Dinner
18.30 - Bath and bedtime routine
19.00 - 5oz's
11.00 - Dream Feed 5 oz or nothing or something inbetween

I am wondering whether I should stop the 12 bottle to make her want her afternoon and bedtime bottle more and have more so she drops BF????   Or should I just do the weaning off and bring the DF earlier and earlier or go cold turkey and see how we go???

Just be interested to know what people think!  Thanks..
