Waiting past 6th month for cereal?
« on: October 24, 2008, 00:36:33 am »
My DD's formula intake has always been on the low end. I have a thread going on about that in the bottle feeding section. However, in just 3 weeks I'm supposed to start her on solids. I was just wondering what everyones experience has been with this. Did your LO's formula intake drop? If so, by how much? I know formula is supposed to stay the main source of food until the first birthday, but how can I encourage her to drink? Has anyone waited past the 6 month mark before starting solids? If so, what are your thoughts/experiences with that?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm just concerned and would like some input. Of course I'm going to be talking about this with her ped as well, it's just nice to get other opinions.

Thanks!

Hello Robin,

Can I suggest that you read this FAQ http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=118497.0 as a first port of call? It should answer many of your queries, but if anything is still unclear, please post again :)
