DS is 8 months. This past week I started giving him cheerios. He loves them! The problem is he doesn't really chew them all that much. He spit up a few days ago and two pretty much whole cheerios came up. I also just gave him some apple and carrot as finger food and he didn't seem to chew that either. The apple probably really didn't need to be since it was so soft but I think the carrot would have needed to be somewhat. He's also started this crazy thing where after every bite (off a spoon) he puts like four of his fingers in his mouth. That's how he eats his finger foods sometimes so maybe it's related to that? He seriously does it after almost every bite; it's hilarious to watch!
Oh does anyone have any way to teach them to only pick up one thing and put it in their mouth? He doesn't quite have the whole pincher grasp all the way down so he often just uses his whole hand. I try to space the pieces out but he still seems to get more than one.
