Halloween Treats

Thankfully my son isn't old enough to realize that big sis gets candy while he doesn't.  However I am dressing him up and taking him out, dear hubby will probably steal his candy.  With not knowing what will set him off I'm not bothering with anything right now. 

What do you all do, especially with the older kids, at this time of year?  I am thinking of at least getting him a little toy, something he can enjoy.

Is he allergic or is it you don't want him to have the sugar?  Have you thought about sugar free natural sweets?  Or something home made?

One of my friends got my son a soft toy bat one year which he loved.

Well he has a reaction to many things like soy/dairy/egg/wheat/oats/barley/ and other things, we are going to the allergist for the first time next week.  So I don't want to give him something, where it looks safe, but then ends up causing a bad reaction.  Last week I found the new toothpaste causes a reaction even though it doesn't have any of the obvious ingredients in it.  Right now all he is eating is Sweet Potatoes and Neocate.  But I don't want him to feel left out on Halloween.  I think the toy bat thing is really cute!  Great idea!

You deft. are doing right by avoiding the candy.  It would be much harder if he was older.   I would not do sugar free treats (at all) just because of the artifical sugars in it.  Our Naturopath doctor said No one should have artifical sweetners.

The toy bat is a great idea.  You could also get bunch of smaller toys and put them in his halloween bucket and a book and crayons.

Not sure what we are going to do here either, because I think Tyler cannot have any sugar at all now.

That's a good idea too.  I'll tell my parents that so when we swing by he'll gets some stuff.

You poor thing with your son and sugar!  Sugar seems to be in everything!  Hopefully he'll grow out of that.

Who knows.  You really would have thought the devil took over today.

I just E-mailed our Naturopath doctor to get another appoitment.  I really don't have the $$ right now, but I really need him happy and feeling good, you know.

Hopefully you'll get some answers.  I'm hoping to get answers next week too.  They booked us for a 2 hour appt.  Skin tests I think, we'll find out more tomorrow when they call us.
