Wake Up Time Question
« on: October 31, 2008, 12:29:51 pm »
Hi there!   ;D

I have a baby girl who is now 11 months old. Can't believe she is almost a year!   :o

She is going through the 2-1 nap switch, and we adjust her bedtime accordingly. So earlier with one nap, later with two. It was crazy for a while, but the nap thing seems to be settling down a bit. What I am frustrated with is we are STILL getting early wakings no matter what.

I have noticed that regardless of one nap or two naps, regardless of bedtime of 6pm or 7pm, she wakes at 5:31am on the nose nearly every day. Is there anyway to change this? I can certainly post my routine, but again, regardless of the routine she wakes at the exact same time almost every single day! We've even had some real off days, and she STILL will wake at 5:31am in the morning. I'd love a later wake up time. Especially with daylight savings ending this weekend!

Thanks!

P.S. We do have room darkening shades and we also use white noise.

Hi G and G.
HUGS!

You are not alone. I have a LO who likes to wake up with the roosters too!

Have you tried wake to sleep?

I have not tried wake to sleep only because I thought it was for younger babies? Also, the second I walk into her room (if I need to wake her from a nap) she wakes up. If I need to go into her room in the middle of the night to change the temperature, just by walking into her room she'll wake.

I am not sure of what is going on outside - we do have neighbors who get up early, but we are using white noise...... ???
