Won't sleep without sippy cup.
« on: November 03, 2008, 19:04:37 pm »
Hi there,
I have a 15 month old that has always been  very good at putting herself to sleep, she sleeps well at night but her naps have always been a bit of a struggle. Last month we went away for a week and she stayed with her gramma, who put her to bed with her sippy cup and now I can't get her to sleep at naptime with out it. I wouldn't care so much except now when she wakes at night or from a nap she cries for her cuppy and won't go back to sleep without some more milk. Her naps are now getting shorter and shorter again and I am not sure how to fix this, because she gets sooo upset if I leave her and if I just get her up from her nap she isn't happy either because she is still so tired. Any suggestions!!!

Hi, I'm just going to pop you over to the Props boards since it sounds like she has become dependant on a prop for falling asleep. I think you may get more responses over there.

Actually... I'm going to move this again, to Toddler Sleep. Since your LO is over 12 mo I think you'll find an even better audience there than in props. :)
