ya i agree.  if she's ot right now, the nap might  need to happen around 1230pm.

let her go 2hrs/2.25hrs.

if bed needs to be early, i think half hour is good as suggested in pp. so 7pm.

Sounds good...she should definitely make it to 7pm for bed. Does she get cranky at night or does she act perfectly fine? My ds would always show he was tired, but my dd could go on and on even when she is tired. Just wondering if she shows any tired signs for bed.

Tbh she is normally ready about 5.30-6 and will just go quiet, she is becomng a real pain to settle at night all of a sudden though, she finally fell asleep by 7.15.  What should i do in the morning re nap time if we have an early waking again?

I'm so hoping she sleeps til 6 or so tomorrow, but if she wakes early I would try to get her back to sleep like you did before. If she won't go back to sleep - I'd still try for nap around the 12:30-1pm range. It might be tough and if she's super tired, you could do noon. I think it might be rough for a day or two while she resets her clock, but hopefully, if you can keep a schedule, she'll start to fall into it.
The second guessing is the hardest part. When my ds kept waking early I'd tell myself that somewhere in the world it's 7am, so he CAN DO IT. He can sleep til 7am somewhere. It sounds ridiculous now, but I had to tell myself something I guess. I had tried everything else and this is what finally worked for us. Hang in there.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D This is so great! Somewhere in the world it is 7am......just not here! I am going to go with this for a few days to get me through. I also figure that when he wakes at 6am, it is the pre-DST 7am so he can sleep until 7am, right?

Rachel, we are trying the same routine with my DS so we should form a support thread for by the clock toddlers who will not sleep anyway so we are trying this! Hang in there.

Just updating, Maya woke at 5.15 which was better, but I still did wi/wo as she had still only slept 10 hrs with a shorter nap.  Anyway I was quite harsh with wi/wo as this seems t be the only way that works ith her , the more i go in the worse she beomes so i just hubg outside whispering in, she was screaming and throwing everything out of her cot so I would go in occasionly and walk out again, did this for an hour (managed to pack my case for my holidays, so in evry negative there is a positive right?) and it broke my heart she fell asleep 1 hr later at 6.15 and slept til 7.40!!!! so would you guys go with a 1pm nap and bed at 7.30?
Cheersx

Whoo-hoo! Good for you for sticking with it. I think I would still go 1pm nap and 7:30 bed. I usually am pretty flexible about nap within a half an hour. So, if you think she's not tired and want to wait til 1:30, I don't see anything wrong with that. I definitely wouldn't go any earlier than 1pm.

I told you my lo likes to keep us guessing! she was so tired earlier I could only hang on til 12.40 again, she had the biggest tantrum in town, and although she is spirited she is never normally like that, does not make sense does it when she has had more sleep? anyway we shall see what the rest of the day brings.

Watch her cues and see when she might be ready. I'd still try to stick to 7 or 7:30 and no earlier.
