15 Month old waking up SCREAMING!!!
« on: December 15, 2008, 04:24:13 am »
My 15 month old DS has been randomly waking up screaming in the middle of the night and won't go back to sleep for hours!  Tonight he was holding onto me so tight when I tried to put him back in his crib like he was afraid of something.  He's on a great schedule - so I have absolutely no idea what the problem is.  He has done this 3 or 4 times in the last 2 weeks.

Anyone hasve any ideas on what it could possibly be?  Could it be night terrors?

Hi there,

I have a 15 month old too. And same thing for about 1 - 2 weeks, she would wake up screaming at the top of her lungs. When we picked her up, she would stop crying but would bawled loudly/scream as soon as we tried putting her down along with clinging to our arms tightly. I thought it was separation anxiety. But in the end, it turned out her molars were coming in.

Hang in there. It only lasted us 2 weeks and then the molars proved that it was the cause.

My dd did that too on and off for about 2-3 months. It turned out that it was her molars too. Teething is such a long process. I know you will be very excited more than your LO when they are finally out.
