Teething and EASY??????????? How???
« on: January 05, 2009, 20:26:33 pm »
Hello,

My LO is just over 5months old and has been a pretty good sleeper.  We are stuck between 3hr and 4hr EASY...have been trying/planning to transition him to 4, but I am quite sure he is teething and everything is out of wack.

Do you still maintan EASY while they are teething or do you follow their cues more than stick to a routine?  Today we are totally off the routine :(  I am more interested in keeping him well rested and relatively happy.

thanks.

it is trickier when they are teething. you do need to make sure they are comfortable as much as possible (whether thats pain meds, teething gels, chilled washer, teething rings, etc). they can have a more difficult time getting to sleep and need a little more comfort, just be careful not to overdo it and get into an AP trap (been there done that ;))

stick to your usual EASY as much as possible, however you do also need to look for cues as many LOs have less A time and/or longer naps when teething.
