BLW and food temperature
« on: January 14, 2009, 02:02:27 am »
Hi,
We do BLW now with our DD (9.5 months old) because she doesn't like spoons much (used to do mostly BLW with a little bit of food off a spoon). When she does eat off a spoon she will eat warm food, but she won't pick up anything if it is even slightly warm (vegetable wedges, pancake etc). Anyone else found this? What did you do? I just don't want to condition her to only eat cold food all the time! Thanks.

I don't really mind that dd and ds wait until their food is cool to eat.  I still serve things warm and if they prefer for it to be cool enough to eat than that's fine.  Some foods (soups, anything cheesy, etc) they will eat slightly warm as they discovered that it taste better.  So don't worry about it.  In a way it might even be best as you don't have to keep food warm all the time.  Especially when she's eating on the go.
