« on: February 04, 2009, 19:39:01 pm »
My lo is 18 months and he is very ot sensitive, always has been.If he get ot hes a nightmare at night, waking several time, restless, and irritable. He does well at home but i work 2 days a week and he wont sleep at daycare and so those nights are horrible.I go back to working 4 days a week in May and i am terrified i am never going to sleep again.I have never had a whole nights sleep since he was born.I am wondering if they ever out grow this?

I can't speak for all kids of course, but Colin was always very sensitive to OT like that. BUT, it did get better once he was closer to 2 YO.

My lo is 24 months old & is finally getting less sensitive to OT.  She can be awake all day w/o a nap and be happy...something that NEVER happened before!!!

my ds is 27 months now and i'm still waiting for it to kick in!!!!!  He also has been very sensitive to being OT and i was told by many that after age 2 it becomes less as they get closer to age 3.  some adapt easier then others.  I can say that from 22 month ( when he started daycare) to now is a big differnce.  We are going through some bed time battles now for the last 2 months and i still can't figure out what is going on....
