Hi,
my DD is nearly 4.5months old & since we started EASY (when she was about 3 months old) we have both been sleeping much better & are much happier! :-)
I'm thinking she might want/need to move from a 3 to 4 hrs EASY soon, so thought I would read up on the transition... I've been re-reading Tracy's book (BW solves all your problems) & looking at the FAQ, and noticed that the example routines shown all include a DF, which we don't do (she sleeps through from 8pm until 7am
)
below is our ideal day, which is pretty much as per Tracy's book... we usually end up having at least one of the EAS cycles disrupted by going out, but I try make sure we have at least one good nap at home in the cot every day

s 5pm sometimes has a 30min catnap

S 8pm asleep in bed
I've noticed that if I'm late reading her sleepy cues & put her down late for a nap, then she winges more & I need more shhhing/white noise to make her settle, whereas if I do it on time she'll just lie there sucking her thumb for a few mins before going to sleep. I also need to wake her from all her naps, and usually first thing in the morning too.
Sooo... I'm thinking she's not ready to move away from her 3hr EASY yet, but when she is, should I still do the transition as suggested in the book/in the FAQ? (just ignoring the bits about the DF)
TIA
