I've just started mix feeding DD2 as not gaining weight well I am only giving bottles in the evening so I was wondering with the "tanking up" do it do it the same as i would BF give her a full feed every 2 hours and let her take what she wants?

I always let my LO take as much as he wanted at each feed and after a few days I would get an idea of what he was likely to take and prepare the bottle accordingly. The objective is to get as many calories into them to ensure longer stretches at night. With the cluster feeds also my LO let me know when to stop...he gradually took less at the second so I knew to combine them.
Good Luck!

I agree with Emma.
Good luck, and keep us posted on how you get on.
