NW with a previously v. good sleeper! ???????????????????
« on: April 12, 2009, 09:55:59 am »
Hi everybody.....

(I've posted this on toddlers sleeptime too...but i guess i just want more open advice ...Please!) ???
I was just wandering how much nap time a 13 month old needs?
My DD has switched from 2-1 naps recently(about 3 weeks into it now) and naps for between 2-3 (max) each time...although she does occasionaly just take 1hr 30 mins.( and thats it for the day....will not nap again)

She wakes anytime between 6:10-7:00am...Then is usually ready for a nap from 11:10am.....or there abouts (does differ when she is at childminders..)

I am happy with the fact that she has decided to just take one long nap........Problem i've got is that she has become really restless at night recently...waking x2 just moaning and half awake...but does then go back to sleep (eventually, after i go in and tuck her back in under blankets) but can sometimes be awake on and off for anything up to 2 hours of the night.

Rulled out hunger, illness, wet nappies etc.....

Is this someting to do with change in nap times?? Was a really good sleeper at night..eg put her down and see her in the morning. Now...we put her down and just wait for the  familiar restlessness that she has...What are we doing wrong...Any ideas......

Thanks in advance

Hi,
Just wondering what time bedtime is?

Since ds dropped to 1 nap (at 14months) and dd1 dropped her naps altogether (at almost 3) I do bedtime an hour earlier - 6pm.
They are now 21 months and 3 +3 months and we eat dinner at 5pm, then bath 5:30, story and songs, then I leave them in bed before 6pm and both usually go out like lights ;) ;D

 Hi....
Well....bedtime used to be at 7pm and as the time has gone by, for some reason its more like 7.30pm. but tonight i am trying 7 pm and going to see if that helps...ideally i would like to try 6.30pm but i just dont think she'll go down as she's as bright as a button...!

Thanks for info.. i'll give it a bash and keep you posted!!

Hi Mac's Mom....!

So far so good! Phew!!
Started putting DD down earlier at 7pm and so far so good. Back to her usual 12 hours of sleep. How lucky am i??? I am so pleased..hope it lasts though?
She did wake at 4:45am this morning but that was due to being sideways accross her cot. Lol.  If i could prevent her from sleeping in all positions  ( never going to happen...she's a right little wriggly worm!) i reckon she'd sleep without any interuptions. As i currently have to move her back into position every night. but hey...i am soo happy that she sleeps through at the moment!

Thanks again
Lisa
