I just read in another post that if baby is sucking the bottle dry it's time to increase the amount.
Currently my 7 week old is on 4.5 oz of formula. He sucks the bottle dry every time (even cluster feeds and DF). Does this mean that he is not getting enough. He barely makes it to the 3 hr mark. I'd love to increase the amount, but, he has acid reflux and spits a lot of his feeds up. So, by increasing the amounts, he'll expell more formula. This is counter productive.
He's on zantac, which is somewhat helping, but not enough to increase his amounts to 5 oz. I also can't find thickened formula that comes in concentrate, so that is not an option for keeping food down.
So to summarize, I am just asking if this is correct that I should be upping his amounts when he starts sucking the bottle dry?
